This was posed to me from another agency looking for a solution. Ill try to explain it the best I can.The agencies questions are: Does anyone know of or have a policy regarding 1. Automatic disqualification of an applicant from the hiring process if they had previously failed one or two pr-employment polygraph exams with their agency. 2. Automatic disqualification of an applicant from the hiring process if they had been found to have been "Manipulating the polygraph" instrument during a previous polygraph exam (countermeasures) In speaking with the agency they cite that a candidate applied three times and had failed all of the polygraph exams. The first time he failed he made disclosures and since then does not, but continues to apply each time. Thanks Tony IP: Logged |

Tony,I will send you the two documents that we use re: unresolved poly and further processing, as well as our poly consent form that covers countermeasures (attempts to manipulate outcome) I was going to copy and paste directly here but the post would have looked more like it was one of Ray's. If you need anything else, let me know. "No matter who says what, don’t believe it if it don’t make sense." (Bix Bender) Willis IP: Logged |

The APA has a new LE Model Policy available at: http://www.polygraph.org/files/lawenforcementpolicy.doc It appears to have been approved this month and posted only a day or two ago. r ------------------ "Gentlemen, you can't fight in here. Thank You very much for the replies and information. I shared it with the agency and they are appreciative as well. I knew I could count on the forum to help out. One of the many fine things we have here!Tony IP: Logged |
